Real Madrid are set to smash the world record for a transfer fee after agreeing in principle a €180million deal with Monaco for Kylian Mbappe.
The Spanish and European champions will pay €160million up front and a further €20million in add-ons, according to Spanish daily Marca.
The proposed deal would break the huge €105million outlay that Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba to Juventus last summer.
Mbappe will be offered a six-year deal and would earn €7milllion per year.
According to the report, boss Zinedine Zidane has reassured the 18-year-old he will have a place in the starting line-up after the France international apparently raised concerns about his first-team opportunities.
