For the first time, all talented young football players from across the UAE are invited for an open trial conducted by the scouts of the LaLiga Academy, the region’s only scouting academy, and LaLiga High Performance Centre (HPC).
The trials will begin May 1 at GEMS World Academy in Dubai where the coaches will select players for enrolment at LaLiga Academy and the by-invitation only LaLiga High Performance Centre, where they undergo intensive year-long training and development program.
Speaking about the quality of youth football across the UAE, LaLiga Head Coach and former Real Madrid CF Coach David Iglesias, said, “We want to find the best young football players in the UAE and give them the opportunity to develop to LaLiga standards which have produced the world’s greatest players. We invite all talented players and their parents to the open trial and to showcase their skills to our team. In our first season, we have already scouted players with great potential and they are currently training with our LaLiga HPC team to be developed into pro-footballers”.
LaLiga’s trademark training method is delivered by UEFA pro-certified coaches ensuring the same level of training that has created the world’s finest players at the best clubs in Europe. Bringing together the finest practices from the various LaLiga clubs, the method features not only football techniques, skills and fitness to hone players for competitive matches, but also emphasizes physical, emotional and mental development.
All hailing from Spain, the LaLiga Academy coaches have been handpicked with stellar track records as coaches of LaLiga’s top youth clubs including Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Leganés, Getafe, Malaga and Mallorca.
While focusing on individual player development, the LaLiga method also emphasizes team spirit through developing children’s ability to interact with team members on the pitch to bring out the best of each other’s play.
Those selected for LaLiga HPC have the opportunity to begin training immediately and earning their place at the exclusive annual LaLiga HPC Summer Scouting Camp in Spain. The 21-day intensive camp provides youth the chance to play against top LaLiga youth clubs in competitive matches attended by LaLiga Club scouts on the lookout for top talent to be recruited by their clubs.
Throughout the season, at the only scouting academy in the region, the coaches will continue to select top players and train them for the opportunity to play professional football with leading international and regional clubs, or attain football scholarships with top universities in the US. As a first step, they will be invited to join the by the professional development team of LaLiga High Performance Centre.
At the open trials, coaches and Scouts from the LaLiga HPC will be on the lookout for the top football talents across Dubai to build LaLiga Academy’s and LaLiga HPC teams for next season.
