  • Manchester City take on city rivals, Manchester United this Sunday in the Manchester derby to be played at the Etihad Stadium.

It’s a game that is vital to both teams in the chase to secure Champions League football for next season, and to finish above one another.

City come into the game having lost away at Crystal Palace last weekend and having seen them pick up three defeats in their last five games, United have inched above City in the league. United, on the back of a comfortable win against Aston Villa have found some form but City captain, Vincent Kompany believes the derby has come at the right time.

"As always, a derby game against United is a very special occasion”, Kompany said. “Everyone in Manchester will be looking forward to it.”

City will look to leapfrog United with a strong performance and three points to end a disappointing time in the English Premier League. The current champions of English football currently sit in forth spot, a point behind their city rivals after 31 games.

For fans in the UAE, the game will be screened live at Zayed Sports City as the Sky Blue fan zone kicks into life for the massive occasion. At the fan zone, there will be chances to win a signed shirt by all of the Manchester City team including international superstars, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri. To have a chance of winning, all you have to do is share your photos of you cheering on the team using @MCFC or #Together.

Kompany added: "We’ll be going all out for an important win, and hope that all of our fans at the Sky Blue fan zone enjoy the occasion. It’s fantastic to know that we’ve got your support with us all the way from Abu Dhabi. Enjoy the afternoon!”
