  • Abu Dhabi-bound: Balazs Dzsudzsak.

Dzsudzsak, 29, is to imminently undergo a medical and sign contracts after agreement about a ¤3 million (Dh12.2m) transfer with Turkish Super Lig-outfit Bursaspor was announced.

The winger shone while wearing the captain’s armband for Hungary at Euro 2016 and his arrival would offer the perfect retort to the criticism incurred during last week’s botched signing of Brazilian forward Tiago Alves.

“Al Wahda announces that it has agreed a deal with the Turkish club Bursaspor to obtain the international transfer certificate of the Hungary captain Balazs Dzsudzsak with price of ¤3m and have agreed with the player on all the details,” a Clarets statement read. “This agreement is initially in principle and will become final shall the player pass routine medical tests successfully and signs all contracts.

“The player was one of the options for coach Javier Aguirre, and will add quality to our squad upon completion of his contract.

“He is a European and global superstar, who has considerable experience and who has been involved with his country’s national team in Euro 2016 in France during which he demonstrated world-class performances.

“All available options are within sight until all relevant regulatory processes are completed.”

Wahda were forced back into the foreign market once Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal swept up Alves, despite the 23-year-old travelling to Abu Dhabi for medical examinations. Their new buy will join a club which finished third in the 2015/16 Arabian Gulf League, qualifying for the 2017 AFC Champions League play-offs.

Meanwhile, prolific promoted side Hatta agreed their 14th signing of a hectic summer yesterday with a loan move for Al Nasr forward Younis Ahmed.
