  • Ready for the battle: Hugo Viana.

Hugo Viana believes Al Ahli must stick together and “go to war” as they close in on the Arabian Gulf League title.

The Red Knights won 3-2 at champions Al Ain on Sunday night, to keep them six points clear of second-placed Al Shabab with as many games to go.

Viana admitted the win capped a “special” night for returning coach Cosmin Olaroiu but said his team-mates must concentrate as they fight on four fronts.

“We just focus on the next game,” the Portuguese midfielder said. “It’s special for us because we are closer to winning the league. We have six more games and I think if we stay together like we showed and we go to war we can have a very good season.”

Viana added: “We are very confident. Until now we have lost just two games [in 90 minutes] in all competitions, so we have to be confident
