  • On the move: Ederson is understood to have agreed a move to Al Wasl.

Al Wasl have found a replacement for Ricardo Oliveira with the club set to sign fellow Brazilian Ederson on a season’s loan from Atletico Paranaense.

Oliveira was not among the 25 names who left for Wasl’s pre-season tour of Germany on Saturday and, according to reports in Brazil, is set for a move to Palmeiras.

Wasl have identified Ederson as an ideal replacement for the former Jazira forward, with the 25-year-old set to agree terms on a loan this week.

Ederson was the top scorer in Brazil’s Serie A in 2013 with 21 goals in 36 games for Paranaense and will join Neto Berola and Fabio Virginio de Lima as Wasl’s third Brazilian player under fellow countryman and head coach, Jorginho.

Al Wasl are also understood to be investigating whether Oliveira, who signed from Jazira earlier this year, is in breach of his contract.
