Asamoah Gyan's brother is released on bail

    Former Ghana international and brother to Black Stars captain and Al Ain star Asamoah Gyan, Baffour Gyan, has been released on bail by Ghanaian police following the assault of a journalist in his home country, according to reports by local media.

    The elder brother of Ghana captain, Asamoah, Baffour Gyan reportedly assaulted Daniel Kenu, the Regional Editor of Ghana's Daily Graphic newspaper after the latter picked up accreditation for the African Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Uganda.

    Reports from Ghanaian press claim that Kenu was approached by six men, including Baffour Gyan, before they proceeded to beat him and leave him in need of hospital treatment.

    The incident, that allegedly took place on Friday (5th September) after Kenu asked the Ghana skipper a question about his missing friend, musician Castro.

    Asamoah Gyan was holidaying with Castro at the time of his disappearance and his body has yet to be found.
