  • The midfielder was taken off at the hour-mark.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is set for three weeks out after breaking his toe in the Champions League last-16 clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The Spain international was taken off after an hour as Barcelona secured a 4-1 aggregate win over the Blues, and the club have announced he will be absent until early April.

“Medical tests have confirmed that FC Barcelona player Sergio Busquets has suffered a fractured phalanx of the fifth toe of his right foot, with a wound,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“He is expected to be out of action for approximately 3 weeks.”

The injury is set to rule Busquets out of the LaLiga games against Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla, and Spain’s friendlies against Germany and Argentina.
