After Barcelona were reduced to 10-men before half-time following Sergi Roberto’s straight red, Lionel Messi tried to influence the officials, according to Sergio Ramos.
The Argentine genius was infuriated with referee Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez’s poor-decision making and exchanged words with him at half-time.
And Ramos reckons there were many decisions that then went against Real Madrid, including Luis Suarez‘s foul on Raphael Varane that was not given and led to Messi scoring a goal.
“Messi put pressure on the referee in the tunnel at half-time,” the defender said in his post-match interview.
“I don’t know if there were cameras, and I don’t know if he would have made other decisions in the second-half.
“However, it’s important to leave these things on the pitch, you have to show respect.”
Meanwhile, in a Clasico that lived up to its billing, Barca defender Gerard Pique also appeared to have said something to Nacho Fernandez just before the players came out for the second-half.
Nacho not too happy with what Pique had to say behind a covered mouth at halftime. Should be a spicy next 45 minutes! #ElClassico #Barcelona #RealMadrid #nacho #pique #BarcaRealMadrid pic.twitter.com/UhhIpnszwU
