  • Barcelona are set to begin their preparation for the 2018/19 season on July 16.

That’s when players not competing at the World Cup this summer will report for duty at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

The La Liga champions will travel to the United States on July 24 where they will play three friendlies during their 12-day stay – all part of the International Champions Cup tournament.

Ernesto Valverde’s side will play their first friendly against Tottenham in Pasadena, LA on July 28. Three days later, they take on Roma at the AT & T stadium in Dallas before wrapping things up against AC Milan at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Meanwhile, Boca Juniors have accepted an invitation to be the guests at the LIII Trofeo Joan Gamper, Barcelona’s annual friendly match ahead of the La Liga campaign. Both clubs are however yet to finalise a date for the game which will take place in August.

The Catalans also have the Spanish Super Cup games against Sevilla to contend with on August 5 and 12 while the league season kicks off on August 18.
