Barcelona have internally ruled out signing Russia star Aleksandr Golovin this summer, according to Marca.
The CSKA Moscow playmaker was initially considered a target to bolster Barca’s midfield. However, the club were never completely sold on the 22-year-old, with concerns over how he’d adapt to their playing style and life in Spain in general.
Golovin seemingly has his heart set on a move to Chelsea in any case.
La Blaugrana’s hesitancy has allowed the Premier League club to move ahead in the race for the World Cup star, but Barcelona have since decided not to compete with the Blues for Golovin’s signature.
