German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen met his Barcelona team-mates in Texas on Monday.

After a disappointing World Cup campaign in Russia, where he could not get minutes under his belt, Ter Stegen had tweeted about how eager he was to return to play for his club side.

The 26-year old was warmly received by his team-mates, manager Ernesto Valverde and the coaching staff at the hotel Barcelona are staying at, after he took a long flight to Dallas.

Ter Stegen will take part in Barca’s next training session, which will be his first of the new season.

He might not feature in Barca’s next pre-season fixture against Roma on Wednesday, although he is sure to start against Milan on Sunday.

Barcelona have confirmed Lucas Digne has been given permission to leave the pre-season tour in the US and travel back to finalise his move to Everton.

The Frenchman is set to complete a £22 million switch to Goodison Park.

Digne is seeking more regular football after missing out on France’s World Cup squad due to fewer number of starts at the Camp Nou.

The left-back is being seen as a successor to Leighton Baines at Everton.

The Toffees, under Marco Silva, could seal the deal within the next couple of days.
