17:34 – Pogba remains a Man United player but refuses to rule out Barcelona move

Paul Pogba insists he remains a Manchester United player “as long as you do not see me with the Barcelona jersey”, but has failed to state defiantly that he is happy at Old Trafford.

In an interview to be broadcast with French football show Telefoot due to be aired on Sunday, Pogba seemed to indicate he would be open to joining Barca in the future should United decide to sell him.

14:00 – Barcelona interested in Berardi

Barcelona are interested in signing Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi, according to Sport.

The Catalan giants are seeking fresh faces in January after failing to recruit a big-name striker this summer.

But with manager Ernesto Valverde targeting success on both La Liga and Champions League fronts, more attacking flair is required at the Camp Nou.

10:00 – Arthur impresses Brazil boss Tite on his debut

Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo impressed on his Brazil debut as he came on for the final half hour of his team’s 2-0 win over the USA on Saturday.

Roberto Firmino and Neymar scored the goals as Le Selecao cruised to a friendly victory over an inexperienced America side in New York.

Both goal scorers may steal the headlines for their respective contributions, but it was Arthur who impressed manager Tite.

Griezmann hyped about fellow Frenchman Kylian Mbappe's potential.

Antoine Griezmann has backed France teammate Kylian Mbappe to become a 50-goal per season striker and match the output of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The duo scored four goals apiece to lead France’s World Cup-winning campaign this summer, and Mbappe set the tournament alight with his displays.

He became the first teenager to score in a World Cup final since Pele in 1958, and was the breakout star thanks to his electric pace and goal-scoring prowess.

Griezmann believes that a shift from playing on the wing, where Mbappe began his career, to playing more centrally, as he began doing for France this summer, will help the youngster unlock his potential even further.

“As he will be less glued to the line and more in position to score, with the experience he has, he can score 50 goals per season,” Griezmann said of the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Mbappe is currently Ligue 1‘s joint-top scorer with four goals, tied with teammate Neymar for the best mark in the  league.

Messi has scored four goals in Barcelona’s opening three games, including a brace in the 8-2 win over Huesca last weekend.
