  • Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez tops this week's Valora Futbol top five.

YOU have direct influence on who appears in each Top Five so be sure to rate each weekend.

    1) RIYAD MAHREZ (LEICESTER CITY) – 7.57

Riyad Mahrez scored his 17th goal of the season to extend Leicester’s lead at the top of the Premier League. The Algerian was full of running and kept Watford’s defenders honest with constant movement.

His finish for the only goal of the game was sublime and the fact that Barcelona are now rumoured to be in hot pursuit of the 25-year-old speaks volumes of his ability.

    2) SALOMON RONDON (WEST BROM) – 7.48

After a slow start to his career at The Hawthorns, striker Rondon is starting to prove his worth. The former Zenit St Petersburg player pounced in the second-half to punish 10-man Manchester United and continue his recent scoring run.

With an improving strike rate (seven goals in 30 games) and West Brom looking safer from relegation with each game, is it too soon to say Rondon is in the running for fan’s favourite?

    3) SERGIO AGUERO (MANCHESTER CITY) – 7.38

After a frustrating injury layoff Sergio Aguero returned to the side in style. The Argentine scored a brace and set up Yaya Toure as Manchester City reignited their title challenge.

The striker’s affect on the team was clear from the off as City played with a high tempo across the pitch that has been missing for some time.

    4) FEDERICO FERNANDEZ (SWANSEA CITY) – 7.38

It wasn’t easy but Swansea battled to an attritional 1-0 win over Norwich and Federico Fernandez’ performance in defence personified their solid display at home.

The tall Argentinian continually frustrated the Norwich attack with some resolute defending and made very few errors in his return to the team.

    5) DEJAN LOVREN (LIVERPOOL) – 7.35

Croatian international Lovren has been inconsistent since signing from Southampton two seasons ago, but on Sunday he played a match-winning role against Crystal Palace.

It was perhaps the centre back’s best performance for the club so far, and he looks to be another player that has flourished under the magic spell of Jurgen Klopp.
