  • Who to pick this week.

Each week, Sport360 will bring you tips for the English Premier League’s official fantasy football game. Fancy pitting your wits against us? You can join “Sport360 Fans'” league using the code 118790-38575.

With six gameweeks played, managers now have a fair idea of who are among the more consistent performers this season.

Here, we look at who could replace the injured Kevin De Bruyne and which Liverpool player you should opt for.

But first, a shout out to these tactical geniuses who top our Sport360 fans league going into this week!

RAHEEM STERLING THE IDEAL REPLACEMENT FOR DE BRUYNE

Kevin De Bruyne is the highest scoring player in Fantasy Premier League this season. Even Pep Guardiola has singled him out for high praise, rating him just a notch below Lionel Messi.

But with the Belgian ruled out through injury this weekend and possibly even longer, Raheem Sterling represents a straight swap for the playmaker and a more affordable option too.

The Englishman has been a revelation under Guardiola this season. While De Bruyne (10.8) has managed 49 points so far, Sterling (8.6) is just five points adrift.

The Manchester City winger has been incredibly consistent, registering either a goal or assist in all but one fixture in the current campaign.

The Citizens are in great form at the moment and if you don’t want to pass up on a sky blue shirt in your team, then Sterling is the ideal replacement.

    WHICH LIVERPOOL PLAYMAKER TO BUY

Liverpool have been scoring freely this season, with only Manchester City scoring more in the league. What’s interesting is that the goals have been rather evenly distributed.

While Luis Suarez or Daniel Sturridge did the bulk of the scoring in the recent past, Jurgen Klopp has been able to turn to a variety of midfielders for a goal.

Philippe Coutinho, James Milner, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane have all scored well this season.

However, Lallana is probably the one who represents the greatest value. Yes, Coutinho leads the way with 41 points but the former Southampton captain has registered just one point less and is £1m cheaper than the Brazilian.

    KEEP FAITH IN WATFORD DUO

Given their disappointing defeat at Burnley on Monday, it’s tempting to let go of popular FPL options Etienne Capoue and Troy Deeney.

Considering Jermain Defoe’s form and the recent surge of Charlie Austin and Salomon Rondon, one could make a case for bringing one of them in for the Watford skipper but your weekly transfer would most likely be better used elsewhere on the pitch.

Capoue on the other hand failed to score or assist for only the second time this season in the last gameweek and deserves more time in your side.

Watford have a very attractive run of fixtures over the next four weeks as they play Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Swansea City and Hull City. There are points for the taking and the Watford duo are bound to play a significant part.
