The fixtures are coming thick and fast this month and Fantasy Premier League managers are having to act fast to keep up with the ever-changing trends.

Below are the three differentials who could help you gain some ground and also a look at why you should captain Christian Eriksen this week.

But first, a shout out to these tactical geniuses who top our Sport360 fans league going into this week!

    WHO TO PICK AS CAPTAIN

Two midfielders have really shone of late. Adam Lallana [7.1m] has returned strongly from injury, scoring 19 points in the last round and seven prior to that.

Christian Eriksen [8.5m] however, is the man everyone is talking about. He was enduring a rather modest FPL season until a few weeks ago. Apart from a 1-0 defeat away to Manchester United, the Dane has delivered well in recent weeks.

He’s amassed 49 points in just the last four gameweeks, well more than half of his entire tally this season of 86. Given the form he’s in and the fact that Tottenham entertain Burnley next, it’s hard not to give him the armband.

    THREE DIFFERENTIALS

If you’re one of the managers who drafted in the aforementioned Lallana or Eriksen a couple of weeks ago, then you’ve probably enjoyed a smug couple of gameweeks given their returns.

With some of the usual hitters going off the boil recently for whatever reason, it’s great to snap up those geared up for points but aren’t selected by the majority.

    Here are a few options.

PATRICK VAN AANHOLT [SUNDERLAND – 5.0m]

Sunderland are hardly renowned for their ability to keep clean sheets but van Aanholt has proved to be a real force going forward, even featuring as a wing-back or on the left side of midfield this season and is selected by just 4%.

He ranks seventh among defenders in terms of goal threat and second as far as creativity goes. He’s got two goals and an assist so far this season and should do well at home to Watford this weekend.

The Dutchman is definitely one to rotate though with tough games against Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs peppered across an otherwise attractive looking run of eight fixtures coming up.

PAUL POGBA [MANCHESTER UNITED – 8.3m]

Manchester United are starting to show a few signs of life in the points column with back-to-back league wins complimenting their recent exploits in the Europa League.

Paul Pogba has been threatening to come good in FPL for a while and enjoyed a healthy return in midweek with a goal and an assist.

Selected by 8.7%, the Frenchman’s relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic has started to come good and could well continue to be fruitful over the course of this month.

    DIVOCK ORIGI [LIVERPOOL – 6.8m]

The Liverpool striker has taken his opportunity over the last four weeks with both hands. Selected by only 8%, Origi has struck four times in four games and chipped in with an assist in his latest outing.

He is nursing a knock at the moment but should be back in time for the Merseyside Derby on Monday.
