WhoScored.com has delved into the statistics and highlighted the top five Premier League players who have been the most clinical when presented with an opportunity in front of goal.
The stars you’ll see below had to have scored a minimum of six goals this season to make the cut and it’s no surprise that the league’s leading goalscorer, Diego Costa, features. And the same goes for Harry Kane.
But neither of these forwards claimed top spot – that accolade goes to Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud – who has tucked away an impressive 30.4% of his chances.
Rather surprisingly, Crystal Palace’s box-to-box midfielder James McArthur takes home the silver medal.
