MANOLO GABBIADINI (SOUTHAMPTON) – 8.6
When Southampton bought Gabbiadini in January, there were some who wondered whether a striker who hadn’t been featuring regularly for Napoli was worth the transfer fee. But the Italian has hit the ground running in England, scoring in both of his first two Premier League games.
The second, on Saturday, saw Gabbiadini terrorise the Sunderland defence en route to an excellent brace.

SADIO MANE (LIVERPOOL) – 8.5
Mane’s absence was one of the key factors cited in explaining Liverpool’s poor start to 2017. On Saturday, he showed everyone exactly what Liverpool had been missing, scoring two goals in quick succession to lead the Reds to a crucial victory over Tottenham.
Liverpool fans will hope Mane’s presence will spark a resurgence for their team leading up to the end-of-season run-in.
RYAN BERTRAND (SOUTHAMPTON) – 8.4
Southampton’s defence has struggled in the Premier League lately, as the entire team seemingly has switched its focus to the EFL Cup final at the end of the month. Facing a Sunderland side that was coming off a four-goal performance, however, the Saints’ back line rediscovered its solidity, with Ryan Bertrand leading the way.
The left-back was also provided his usual attacking threat, and his crosses resulted in the first and third goals in Southampton’s 4-0 win.

DUSAN TADIC (SOUTHAMPTON) – 8.3
Dusan Tadic was restored to the Southampton starting XI for the match against Sunderland after missing out the previous week, and he was a menace throughout. Playing behind Manolo Gabbiadini, Tadic’s link-up play with the Italian caused the Black Cats problems throughout the game.
Gabbiadini’s excellent second goal came after Tadic had found him with an accurate through pass.

RAHEEM STERLING (MANCHESTER CITY) – 8.3
Raheem Sterling loves playing against Bournemouth. His goal on Monday night was his seventh against the Cherries, which is at least three more than he has against any other team, and he also chipped in with an assist.
Pep Guardiola has been talking up his young attacking trio of Sterling, Leroy Sane, and Gabriel Jesus, saying they have the potential to dominate Premier League defences for years to come, and on Monday, Sterling and his colleagues showed just why their manager has so much faith in him. Sterling in particular has benefited from Guardiola’s tutelage, and he turned in another outstanding performance.
