  • The Merseyside derby is one of the most hotly contested derbies in world football, so it would take a brave man to cross the Everton-Liverpool divide and play for both sides in their career.

    Peter Beardsley may be the most famous example of a player who has donned both blue and red in the Merseyside derby, but there are others, as well, including Nick Barmby and Don Hutchison.

    And while he never crossed the divide, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher grew up as an Evertonian, and famously played for both sides during his testimonial.
