  • Jay Rodriguez’s last-minute penalty earned struggling West Brom a deserved point against uninspiring Arsenal.

The striker netted after Calum Chambers handled in the area to clinch a 1-1 draw just as it looked like Alexis Sanchez had given the Gunners victory.

The forward’s deflected free-kick put Arsenal ahead with seven minutes left in boss Arsene Wenger’s record-breaking 811th Premier League game in charge.

    Star man

Ahmed Hegazi. The Egypt international has impressed during his short time in the Premier League and he was solid again at the back for West Brom.

    Moment of the match

The game looked to be heading towards a goalless stalemate until Sanchez’s shot from a free-kick just on the edge of the area deflected into the net off of James McClean.

Replays showed that without the nick off the West Brom player the ball would probably have flew wide.

The rest of his team-mates celebrated with him this time, unlike at Crystal Palace.

    Data point

Arsenal have a 100 per cent record against West Brom, having scored in all 24 of their Premier League games against the Baggies.
