  • Hollywood’s latest superhero movie ‘Black Panther’ has become a raging hit not only in cinemas but on the football pitch as well with Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba becoming the latest to join the ‘Wakanda forever’ bandwagon.

After Lingard scored what turned out to be the match-winning goal against Chelsea on Sunday, he celebrated by performing the ‘Wakanda salute’ made famous by the movie’s leading character Chadwick Boseman.

Lingard was then joined by Pogba and the two rounded off victory celebrations with another rendition of the signature move.

The movie, set in the fictional land of Wakanda in Africa, has generated a lot of buzz across the cinematic universe and beyond with performers like Will Smith, Snoop Dogg giving their stamp of approval to the Marvel movie that explores tricky political issues including immigration.
