  • Each week, Sport360 will bring you tips for the English Premier League’s official fantasy football game. Fancy pitting your wits against us? You can join “Sport360 Fans League” using the code 2326997-532303.

If you didn’t have Eden Hazard or Ryan Fraser and still scored above average points in Gameweek five, count yourself lucky.

The duo dominated the scoring with the Chelsea star bagging 20 points, much to the delight of the Fantasy Premier League managers who captained him, while the Scot wasn’t too far behind with 19.

Will either or both deliver again, or should we brace ourselves for a different FPL gem ahead of the weekend?

Here’s a few tips to help guide you through Gameweek six.

    CAPTAIN – MOHAMED SALAH | LIVERPOOL | 13.0M

It may well be last-chance saloon for Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool star has delivered two goals and two assists so far which isn’t a bad return, but it pales in comparison to his phenomenal output last term.

It doesn’t help that the Egyptian is the most expensive player in the game at a time when FPL managers are trying to accommodate the likes of Hazard, as well.

However, his underlying stats tell a different story. He is still getting plenty of shots away from inside the box and attempting several assists.

For one reason or another, he hasn’t been able to convert them into fantasy points.

Salah has missed five big chances as well this season and you sense it’s only a matter of time until he finds the net more frequently. Facing Southampton at home presents him with a great opportunity to do just that.

The Saints let a two-goal lead slip at St. Mary’s against Brighton and have won just one of their five games so far.

    ALTERNATIVES

ROMELU LUKAKU (11.0m) is now the highest-scoring forward in the game this season with four to his name, alongside Glenn Murray and Aleksandar Mitrovic. He’s had 14 shots from inside the area this term, eight of which were on target. The Belgian will back himself to hit the target again when Wolves visit Old Trafford.

EDEN HAZARD (10.8m) naturally finds himself among the chief captaincy options following his stellar display in GW5. The Chelsea star did not travel with the squad for their Europa League opener against PAOK, so he should be fresh for the encounter with West Ham on Sunday.

    BOLD CHOICE

JAMES MADDISON (6.6m) had three attempted assists, four shots and a goal in Leicester City’s 4-2 defeat to Bournemouth. The Foxes welcome Huddersfield to the King Power Stadium this weekend, whose defensive record this season is only better than Fulham’s.

    TWO TO WATCH

    RICHARLISON  | EVERTON | 6.6M

Fraser has taken the limelight among affordable midfielders, but keep an eye out for Richarlison’s return from suspension. The Brazilian started like a house on fire and Everton have struggled in his absence. He bagged a brace on his full debut for the national team during the international break as well, so he’s clearly not rusty. The Toffees face Arsenal in GW6, but have three attractive fixtures beyond that.

    MATT DOHERTY | WOLVES | 4.4M

At his price, Matt Doherty is something of a steal. The wing-back bagged an assist against Burnley and attempted three more. In the last four GWs, he’s had seven shots from inside the area – the most among defenders. Marcos Alonso has only recorded five in that time. Wolves travel to Old Trafford this Saturday, but have a good run of games beyond that.

    TWO TO AVOID

    HENRIKH MKHITARYAN | ARSENAL | 7.1M

The Armenian looked like a cheap way into Arsenal’s attack, but has disappointed. The Gunners still have a good run of games ahead of them, but Mkhitaryan has only delivered in GW2 so far this season and hasn’t started Arsenal’s last two games.

    THEO WALCOTT | EVERTON | 6.6M

Theo Walcott did not help compensate for Richarlison’s absence, blanking in the last two games – both at Goddison Park. With the Brazilian back into the fold, there’s no need to hold on to Walcott – especially when both players are currently at the same price.
