    Bernd Storck, Hungary coach:

“The players played out of their skins.

“This game today against such a difficult team, we had to play some very good football. We had a bit of luck, but you need a bit of luck in football.

“He (Gabor Kiraly) was chosen in goal because he’s a great player.

“I never said I had old players, I have good players. I still think he’s one of the best players in the world.

“He contributed to this victory, keeping the clean sheet. He led the team to the win and was rewarded for all his hard work over the years.”

    Marcel Koller, Austria coach:

“Unfortunately we weren’t able to do what we wanted today.

“Maybe some players were nervous because it was the beginning. We can’t just push a button and say ‘Now I’m going to play at my best level’.

“The situation now is we’ll have to try and win against Portugal.”
