  • Arsenal bound? Mbappe.

The season has nearly drawn to a close and the transfer window, with all it’s chaos and mayhem, is going to open soon.

Rumours are gathering apace and we take a look at the latest stories doing the rounds in the media.

    KYLIAN MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe is the world’s premier young striker right now with a whole host of clubs thought to be chasing the Monaco star.

L’Equipe claim Arsenal have made an £87million offer to sign the Frenchman, the 18-year-old who scored 26 goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 champions last season.

    SPORT360 RATING: 5/10

VERDICT: We can’t stop hearing about Mbappe but the truth is the transfer speculation surrounding him will continue to rumble on throughout the summer until he confirms his plans for next season. Although another season at Monaco would suit his development more, the big money offers from the Premier League and La Liga are surely going to draw his interest away from the south of France – in time.

    MOHAMED SALAH

Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport report that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Roma’s Mohamed Salah – with the Serie A runners-up asking for a £30.4million fee for the Egyptian.

The Daily Mail claim that Liverpool have had a £28million bid for the former Chelsea winger rejected.

    SPORT360 RATING: 7/10

VERDICT: Having only joined Roma on a permanent basis at the beginning of last season for €15m, Liverpool would need to at least double that fee to land Salah. The attacker’s previous spell in England wasn’t a success one but he is now a more complete player who could easily fit the bill for the Reds.

    ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is set to make a move for £50million-rated Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool also expressing an interest – giving the Frenchman plenty of options away from Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

Lacazette has been instrumental this season, scoring 37 goals in 45 games.

    SPORT360 RATING: 6/10

VERDICT: A move away from Lyon would see Lacazette play and compete in one of the bigger leagues. With Manchester United looking for a replacement for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is ruled out for the rest of the year, the 26-year-old would help fill the void left by the Swede should he put pen to paper with the Red Devils.
