    ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to join Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy following his release from Manchester United, according to the Star.

The 35-year-old – who scored 28 goals in 41 appearances for the Red Devils – has not played since April after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

With widespread reports suggesting that Manchester United may extend the deal, they declined to take up the option for a second season on his contract as Zlatan’s injury is expected to rule him out of action until January.

    RATING: 9/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: With the Swede currently going through the early stages of his injury rehab, his move to America would fit perfectly as the 2018 Major League Soccer season doesn’t kick off til March. At 35, Zlatan still has buckets of playing ability left in him and a season or two in the States would bring down the curtain on a decorated career.

    GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale and Alvaro Morata could be on their way to Manchester United this summer, according to The Star.

While the Old Trafford hierarchy has been keen on the Welsh star for some time, Jose Mourinho is still undecided, especially since his preferences for a marquee signing this summer are the cheaper options of Ivan Perisic and Andrea Belotti.

The long-muted big-money transfer is still subject to a few issues but the paper claims to have been told by sources from both clubs that a deal is “much likelier” than at any point in Bale’s time at the Bernabeu.

    RATING: 8/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT:
Florentino Perez may be open to negotiating a deal for Bale this summer as his sale would free up money to sign either Eden Hazard or Kylian Mbappe. Expect this one to rumble on if Madrid are to sell, now would be as good a time as any.

    IVAN PERISIC

Inter Milan want £44 million for Manchester United target Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports.

The versatile 28-year-old has been impressive in Serie A this season, scoring 11 goals in 38 games, and looks a perfect fit for Jose Mourinho’s hard-working midfield system.

With widespread reports that Mourinho visited Perisic in Zagreb recently, United are expected to put in an official bid for the Croat this month.

    RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Perisic is a fans’ favourite at the San Siro and Inter will want to do all they can to keep this season’s dream team together. However, the 28-year-old may not get another chance for a big move.
