Bayern Munich boss Karl Heinz Rummenigge and Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu have hailed Pep Guardiola as a genius.
Rummenigge claimed to Sport Bild: "This man is a genius. I've seen a lot of coaches but this one is extraordinary, this coach is a gift from above,"
Guardiola arrived in Munich in June 2013 from Barcelona, with a contract running until summer 2016.
The 43-year-old led Bayern to victory in the European Supercup, the Club World Cup and then the German Cup/league double, before crashing out of the Champions League in the semi-final.
Meanwhile Bartomeu thoroughly enjoyed working with Guardiola in his succesful stint as manager of Barcelona: "I learnt very much from Pep Guardiola. He is a genius," Bartomeu claims.
Bayern play Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup on August 13 before lining up against Wolfsburg at home in their opening Bundesliga match on August 22.
