Roberto Mancini is to leave Zenit St Petersburg after the two parties mutually agreed to terminate the Italian coach’s contract, the Russian club have announced.
The 53-year-old former Manchester City and Inter Milan boss, who has been heavily linked with the vacant Italy national team job, took charge of Zenit last summer.
A club statement read: “Zenit and Roberto Mancini agree to an early end to the manager’s contract.
“The contract will be terminated by mutual consent without any compensation payable.”
The 23-year old joined from Monaco last summer but has so far yet to live up to his hype.
However, the Frenchman still has time to make his mark – according to Conte.
