The international break is often an irritating period for Fantasy Football players. You are either on a fantastic run of form and want to continue or you have had a torrid few weeks and are desperate to make amends.

Plus, there’s nothing worse than having one of your players injured during the break. Fantasy managers with Manchester United’s Daley Blind will understand this perfectly right now.

December is quickly approaching so managers need to be alert as an overload of fixtures is around the corner and then there’s a free wildcard to look forward to in January.

Sport360's Scott Grayston suggests his five picks for this week (Gameweek 12) and his Dream Team:

FWD – Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United) – 4.8m

Newcastle are in red-hot form after a dismal start to the season. They have won their last four EPL matches and will be looking to add to that in the upcoming three when they face QPR (h), West Ham (a) and Burnley (a). Much of their form comes down to their penalty-box predator Ayoze Perez, who has scored in their last three matches and has earned bonus points in all. At 4.8m, he can’t be avoided while Papiss Cisse is out with a knee injury.

    MF – Leroy Fer (QPR) – 5.5m

Harry Redknapp has transformed the lanky Dutchman into an attacking midfielder bursting with flair. QPR have started performing well so it is likely that the ex-Norwich City player can assist or score in the forthcoming matches were they will be well-fancied against Newcastle United (a), Leicester City (h), Swansea City (a) and Burnley (h). He’s only selected by a mere 0.1% too.

MF – Marouane Fellaini  (Manchester United) – 6.3m

The big Belgian has started to find some form for Louis van Gaal’s side after feeling like a ‘scapegoat’ last season.

With Daley Blind suffering a knee injury for Netherlands, Fellaini should certainly start the next few matches after impressing lately. He is always a threat from set-pieces and could be a unique addition as only 0.4% of FPL player’s own him. Just be wary of the odd booking.

    DEF – Dejan Lovren (Liverpool) – 5.2m

Liverpool may have only kept two clean sheets this season but their luck will change in the next four games against: Crystal Palace (a), Stoke (h), Leicester (a) and Sunderland (h). Lovren is the cheapest option that is guaranteed a spot for Brendan Rodgers’ men as the full-backs now face stiff competition. Many Fantasy managers have transferred him out after Liverpool’s poor start but he is worth repurchasing for this weekend.

    MF – Jefferson Montero (Swansea) – 5.7m

Quick, nimble and a nuisance for any defender- the Ecuadorian winger gave Calum Chambers a schooling last week in Wales. This just goes to show the class that Montero possesses. He has the directness required to be a major point-scorer in Fantasy Premier League. In his three starts, he has assisted two goals. Get him now before his price shoots up…
