All Fantasy Premier League managers need to get Manchester City players transferred into their team as soon as possible. They are set to play five of the bottom seven teams in the league so expect plenty of goals and clean sheets up until the New Year. Plus, with sensational forward Sergio Aguero on the sidelines for four to six weeks they will be relying on other (cheaper) options to provide the firepower. Here’s Sport360’s five picks from the reigning Premier League champions:

    Fixtures:

    Leicester (a),

    Crystal Palace (h),

    West Brom (a)

    Burnley (h)

    Sunderland (h)

    FWD – Edin Dzeko – 8.1m

Dzeko will be the main man at the expense of Aguero. He has come back from injury at the perfect time for the Blues. With Manuel Pellegrini starting the Bosnian against AS Roma in the Champions League win, you know he prefers him to the raw Stevan Jovetic. In the last three seasons, Dzeko has scored at least fourteen goals so you would expect him to start netting for City at this busy Christmas period. If you already have Aguero, think about the money you can save by making this switch (at least 4m depending when you bought the Argentine). Prioritise this transfer before Dzeko’s price inflates.

    GK – Joe Hart – 6.0m

When it comes to Man City, everyone knows they will keep clean sheets but it is unpredictable to pick their defenders as Pellegrini mixes it up so much. That will most likely be the case around this busy Christmas period especially with captain Vincent Kompany struggling with a hamstring injury. Latest addition, Eliaquim Mangala can’t be relied upon. He hasn’t looked anywhere near like a £32m defender so far into his City career. Whereas when it comes to ‘keepers, the gaffer will be keeping faith with England’s No.1 after Willy Caballero’s blunders in his appearances between the sticks so far. Hart has kept five clean sheets so far this season and has made one penalty save.

    MF – Yaya Toure – 10.8m

Yaya, Ya-ya-ya-ya Toure is beginning to display the unstoppable form that made him the best Fantasy Football midfielder last season. He scored an incredible 20 goals and assisted nine earning him 241 points. The Ivorian has netted three goals in his last four games. Expect him to add to that tally against these weak oppositions. He will travel to the African Cup of Nations in January but don’t worry; you will have a free wildcard to transfer the pricey powerhouse.

    MF – Samir Nasri – 8.2m

Everybody knows that Samir Nasri is one of the most talented player’s in the Premier League on his day. He showed this class in City’s win against AS Roma in midweek. The Frenchman has started the last five PL matches whilst David Silva has been out and City have won four of them and drawn one. With Aguero on the sidelines, Pellegrini will be relying on his midfielders to find the net and he won’t want to rush Silva back from injury so Nasri will be get plenty more time to keep shining.

    MF – Frank Lampard – 5.4m

‘Super Frank’ has been amazing season so far this season- who’s to say he won’t continue against these vulnerable opponents that City prepare to face. He is a bargain at 5.4m. Just make sure you have substitutes that are certain to play so if he is rested, you won’t lose any points. If Lampard’s loan deal isn’t extended, there’s no doubt he will want to finish off his City career in style.
