    1) GARETH BALE (REAL MADRID) – 7.74

The Welsh wizard netted in Los Blancos’ 4-0 victory over Sevilla, and in the process, became the leading British goalscorer in La Liga history with 43 strikes to his name – beating the previous feat set by Gary Lineker.

The 26-year-old’s goals have arrived at a quick rate – in just 76 matches – and he slotted his record-breaking effort in from just six yards to seal the win in the second-half, having earlier assisted Karim Benzema.

Bale was at the heart of everything good about Zinedine Zidane side’s attacking play and he received a rapturous applause from the Santiago Bernabeu faithful when he was substituted on 70 minutes.

    2) ANTONIO SANABRIA (SPORTING DE GIJON) – 7.73

Relegation battlers Sporting Gijon dented Atletico Madrid’s La Liga title hopes with a stunning 2-1 victory at the weekend – with Sanabria producing the goods for the hosts.

The former Barcelona and Roma forward clawed his team back into the game with an equaliser from a free-kick on 79 minutes, although he did need the aid of a Matias Kranevitter deflection to ensure it made its way past goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Sanabria’s forward play was a threat throughout and when Diego Simeone’s men were forced down to 10 men due to Jose Gimenez’s injury, and with no further substitutions available, Sporting struck late through Castro Garcia to seal their first league win since January 31.

    3) KARIM BENZEMA (REAL MADRID) – 7.52

The French superstar scored his 20th La Liga goal of the season with a superb half-volley as Madrid routed Sevilla on home soil.

Benzema connected clinically with Bale’s cross-field delivery from the right-hand side to swivel and smash the ball home in the sixth minute.

It was the 28-year-old’s first goal in three matches, having netted eight in his previous six.

    4) KEYLOR NAVAS (REAL MADRID) – 7.50

The Costa Rican star was again in superb form for Zidane’s men – making a penalty from Sevilla star Kevin Gameiro in the first-half to ensure the Whites stayed in front at 1-0.

Navas, 29, then pulled off another excellent save to deny the Frenchman in the second period – showing his determination to keep a clean sheet in the routine victory on home soil.

    5) JONY (SPORTING DE GIJON) – 7.43

The former Barcelona youth star was a constant thorn in Atletico’s side at the El Molinon, putting in an eye-catching performance from an attacking position on the flank.

Jony’s pace and energy proved too much for Atletico given their Champions League exertions in mid-week.
