    Barcelona host Real Madrid on Sunday with a chance to keep their bid for a historic unbeaten season alive.

    Much to Madrid’s chagrin, their rivals have already been crowned La Liga champions, with Barcelona 15 points ahead of third-placed Madrid in the table.

    Here’s a look at the key stats and facts ahead of the latest edition of club football’s most compelling rivalry.

    This will be the 238th El Clasico in all competitions. Barcelona have won 93 games and Real Madrid have won 95 (D49).

    The Cules have failed to win in their last three Clasicos at the Camp Nou in all competitions (D1 L2), their last win against Real Madrid at home was in March 2015 (2-1).

    The Whites could be the first team in El Clasico history to reach 400 goals in all competitions (399 currently – Barcelona have scored 387 goals).

    Barcelona can record their 50th La Liga win at home against Real Madrid (W49 D18 L20). Only against four teams have they won more often at home: Espanyol (66), Athletic (61), Real Sociedad (60) and Sevilla (57).

    Lionel Messi has failed to score in his last four Clasicos at the Camp Nou in La Liga, his longest drought at home against Real Madrid.

    Ernesto Valverde has lost 15 of his 23 managerial games against Real Madrid in all competitions (W6 D2), his joint-highest total against any side (also Barcelona).

    Valverde has lost five of his six meetings with Zinédine Zidane in all competitions but his only win to date came as Barcelona’s manager (3-0 in December 2017).

    Ernesto Valverde could become the first Barcelona manager to lose consecutive Clasicos at home in all competitions.On the other hand, Zidane (W2 D1) could equal Miguel Muñoz (W4 between 1962 and 1965) as Real Madrid’s manager with the longest unbeaten run against Barcelona away from home in all competitions.
