Early second-half goals from Michael Krohn-Dehli and Vicente Iborra did much of the damage before Brazilian Neymar pulled one back for the visitors from the penalty spot.

Barcelona huffed and puffed late on and hit the woodwork but Sevilla held on to secure three valuable points.

Victory in Seville would have sent Barcelona marching to the summit of La Liga however Enrique's men could be four points off the pace going into the international break following this latest setback – adding to the humilation of the recent 4-1 defeat at Celta Vigo.

For Sevilla and their manager Unai Emery, it was the Spaniard's first ever victory over Barcelona in 22 attempts.
