That Mohamed Salah has millions of adoring Liverpool and Egypt fans is no secret. The Egyptian winger is having the season of his life with Liverpol and leads the Premier League scoring charts with 30 goals. It seems that the winger’s fandom is not limited to human beings only with hugely popular social humanoid robot Sophia.
Developed by Honk Kong based company Hanson Robotics, Sophia has made countless media appearances around the globe along with several high-profile interviews. During a recent appearance on an Egyptian television channel Sophia confessed her admiration for the Liverpool star.
On being asked as to why she adored Salah, Sophia said, “He is loved by millions not just because he is great at soccer but because he is a humble, modest human being who works hard every day to achieve the impossible. I really admire the charity work he does off the field. I want to be like that too.”
Sophia also had a say on Egypt’s chances at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia. “With Mo Salah, anything is possible. I am wishing Egypt the best of luck,” Sophia stated.
