Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and the rest of Jurgen Klopp’s squad have arrived back in Liverpool following the Champions League final in Kiev.
The team touched down at John Lennon Airport in the early hours of Sunday morning, with Egyptian star Salah pictured in a sling following the shoulder injury he sustained during a challenge with Sergio Ramos.
The club’s talisman was forced off the pitch just 31 minutes into the final and had a follow-up x-ray on the joint after landing awkwardly in a highly controversial challenge.
Reportedly, and according to the Egypt national team account, Salah had suffered ligament damage but avoided either a dislocation or broken collar bone.
According to this diagnosis, their is optimism the 25-year-old will be fit for the World Cup.
There is expected to be more updates on Salah’s injury later on Sunday.
