Jesus Vallejo, who signed for Los Blancos from Real Zaragoza back in 2015 for €5m, has yet to make an appearance for the Whites and spent the past two seasons out on loan back at Zaragoza and more recently Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
But now, after impressing last term and the departure of Pepe, a spot has opened up in defence with Vallejo set to provide cover for first-choice centre-back pairing Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
As such, Real president Florentino Perez was on hand on Friday to give the 20-year-old an official presentation.
