  • The BBC strike started together after a year and duly brought up a milestone.

When Zinedine Zidane selected Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo from the start for the trip to Valencia on Saturday, it was the first time in nearly a year that Real Madrid‘s famed BBC strike force had been named in a Madrid starting XI.

Fittingly, the reunion conjured up a milestone, as Ronaldo’s brace brought up 400 goals for the trident since Bale joined forces with Benzema and Ronaldo in 2013.

Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo tops the charts among the three, with 225 goals, while Benzema is closing in on a century (99) and Bale is on 76.

It won’t be long before the three bring up another milestone, as they’re on 97 Champions League goals together. They’re also closing in on 300 La Liga goals, with the current count at 276, so if they hit their stride as a trio, it might happen this season. The other 27 goals are spread across the Copa del Rey, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Spanish Super Cup.

Here’s a look at some of Bale, Benzema, and Cristiano’s best moments together.
