  • Real Madrid return to La Liga action on Saturday evening and host Leganes (20:30) – the team that knocked Zinedine Zidane‘s men out of the Copa del Rey in January.

Following the midweek Champions League first-leg win over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, Los Blancos are set to ring the changes and keep some energy in reserve for the return leg this coming Tuesday at the Bernabeu.

Club legend Cristiano Ronaldo sits out this one, with Gareth Baleย – who sat on the bench for the entire match in Germany – likely to get a run out amid speculation over his future.

Captain Sergio Ramos is another high-profile star to be spared but out-of-form Karim Benzema is expected to get another chance up top.

Meanwhile, both playmaker Isco and full-back Dani Carvajal are sidelined through injury. In their place, Zidane will call upon trio Theo Hernandez, Jesus Vallejo, and Dani Ceballos to bolster his options.

Leganes have all but secured their La Liga status for next term with just four matches to go while the Whites need a win to continue to push city rivals Atletico Madrid for second place, as well as hold off the challenge of high-flying Valencia in fourth.
