  • Cristiano will be back on the pitch this week.

Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to train with his Portugal team-mates on Monday at the Portuguese Football Federation’s Cidade do Futebol headquarters.

The Real Madrid legend, who cast doubt over his Bernabeu future after the club’s unprecedented third straight Champions League triumph over Liverpool last month, has been holidaying with his family in Marbella since returning from Kiev and enjoying trophy-laden celebrations in the Spanish capital.

According to Marca, the 33-year-old arrived back in his homeland on Sunday amid speculation of whether he will be the subject of a huge transfer this summer.

Ronaldo, who at the weekend posted a picture of himself playing tennis, will step up his conditioning and fitness work at Portugal’s Cruz Quebrada-Dafundo base near Lisbon.

The national side face a final pre-World Cup warm-up friendly against Algeria on Thursday in Lisbon before their Group B curtain-raiser against Spain on June 15.
