  • Real Madrid’s hunt for a new head coach looks set to continue after Massimiliano Allegri turned down their advances in favour of remaining at Juventus, according to reports.

Los Blancos were forced into an impromptu search after Zinedine Zidane surprisingly called time on his reign at Santiago Bernabeu last week after he landed a third-successive Champions League trophy.

Gazzetta dello Sport stated that overtures were made, through former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, to ascertain whether Allegri would be interested.

But the 50-year-old politely rejected this approach, reiterating his commitment to the Old Lady.

Allegri has won four-successive Serie A and Coppa Italia-doubles in four seasons at for Juve. He had been previously linked this summer to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
