  • Luka Modric has got Roberto Carlos' backing

Real Madrid are unhappy with Inter Milan’s pursuit of Luka Modric, according to Marca.

The Serie A giants have made their interest clear in the Croatian all summer, and allegedly contacted the player and his representatives, illegally, before firstly talking to Los Blancos.

The Whites, reportedly, are now set to inform FIFA of Inter’s efforts to unsettle the 32-year-old.

However, with the transfer window now passed in Italy, Modric will be going nowhere and Madrid club president Florentino Perez has slapped a €750m buyout clause on his head.

Although it has yet to have been confirmed, it is thought Modric has been offered new contractual terms with the Whites which would make him the highest earner at the Bernabeu.
