Julen Lopetegui says Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, and the rest of Real Madrid‘s players are “training like little kids” as they look to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo‘s summer departure to Juventus.
Bale has scored in all three of Madrid’s games this season, while Benzema has scored braces in the last two.
“I haven’t changed anybody,” Lopetegui said when asked how the players have stepped up in Ronaldo’s absence. “They were, are and will continue to be excellent players. Their desire to work has been fantastic and they’re training like little kids.”
“We are a great team,” he added. “Without any doubt whatsoever.”
