Real Madrid vice-captain Marcelo could miss this weekend’s derby clash with Atletico Madrid on Saturday night and the upcoming Champions League fixture against CSKA Moscow through injury.
The Brazilian left-back hobbled off in the 72nd minute during Wednesday evening’s 3-0 defeat to Sevilla with a non-contact injury, believed to be a pulled muscle.
Los Blancos were forced to play the last portion of the match with 10 men as boss Julen Lopetegui had already used all of his three substitute options.
“Marcelo seems to have a break, but we have to wait,” Lopetegui said post-match.
