New club: Argentine forward Higuain has arrived at Milan on a season-long loan.

New AC Milan loan signing Gonzalo Higuain has revealed he “has no regrets” about leaving Juventus and giving up the chance to play with Cristiano Ronaldo again.

The prolific Argentine forward of course played alongside CR7 at Real Madrid between 2008 and 2013, before he himself moved to Napoli.

And, because of that, the 30-year-old didn’t put rekindling his relationship with Ronaldo at the top of his wishlist again.

Sampdoria had a cheeky dig at Serie A rivals Juventus as they unveiled new signing Ronaldo Vieira on Friday.

The England under-21 midfielder has joined Sampdoria from Leeds United, and his new club decided to rip off the fact that he shares a name with Juventus’ blockbuster summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sampdoria’s tweet heralding Vieira’s arrival looked remarkably similar to Juventus’ from July when they announced the transfer that remains the signing of the summer.

While no one is comparing the two players, it’s worth noting that Vieira was named among the top prospects under 20 in European football earlier this year.

Inter Milan lost on penalties to Chelsea in their pre-season fixture on Saturday but head coach Luciano Spalletti was more than impressed by striker’s Lautaro Martinez show.

The 20-year old Argentinian received plenty of praise from Spalletti for his work ethics despite Inter losing their International Champions Cup clash to Maurizio Sarri‘s side.
