  • Madrid to swoop for Aubameyang?

Just two weeks now remain until the big kick-off and Europe’s leading clubs are still scrambling around to complete their squads ahead of the season’s opening day.

Real Madrid have been uncharacteristically quiet this summer but that probably won’t last and a swoop for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may be on the cards.

    Sport360 rounds-up the day’s leading transfer stories:

Filip Kostic, Stuttgart to Hamburg, €17 million (DONE DEAL)

This transfer window is shaping up to be a very strong one for Hamburg. Having already signed promising Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic, they’ve added to their midfield options with 23-year-old Kostic penning a five-year deal.

Joe Allen, Liverpool to Stoke City, €16 million (DONE DEAL)

The 26-year-old, fresh from being named in the Euro 2016 Team of the Tournament with Wales, has signed a five-year contract. Many will ask why are the Reds selling the so-called ‘Welsh Pirlo’ but the promise of more playing time is sure to be a big plus for Allen.

Bafetimbi Gomis, Swansea City to Marseille, Loan (In Talks)

The French striker is close to a return to Ligue 1 with a season-long loan deal to OM almost complete. The 30-year-old scored seven goals in 35 games last term and will be the third forward to depart South Wales this summer, following Eder and Alberto Paloschi’s exits.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid, €65 million (Reported)

Manchester City were hotly tipped with signing the Borussia Dortmund hotshot in this window. But in an interview with ZDF on Monday, the 27-year-old, who scored 39 goals last season, has said he would only leave for Real Madrid to fulfil a promise to his grandfather.

Kostas Manolas, AS Roma to Manchester City, €45 million (Reported)

According to the Greek defender’s agent, he is wanted by City, Man United and Chelsea. So, Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has issued a hands off warning for the talented 25-year-old centre-back. Don’t expect this to be the last of the story though.
