  • It’s nearly been a week since the Premier League got underway, but there are hardly signs of clubs surrenders hopes on squad-bolstering changes.

Sport360 proudly rounds-up the day’s transfer twists and turns.

Jonathan Calleri, Deportivo Maldonado to West Ham, Loan (Done Deal)

The Argentina striker, who toppped the 2015 Copa Libertadores scoring charts with Sao Paulo, has completed a season-long loan move from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado. Calleri is a classic no. 9 and his tenacity will lend well to the EPL.

Christian Benteke, Liverpool to Crystal Palace, €27m (Bid Rejected)

If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.. Palace have had another bid rejected for the Liverpool striker. The Reds are looking to recoup the majority of the €38m fee they parted with last summer and are looking for €35m in one payment.

Jeffrey Schlupp, Leicester City to West Brom, €13m (In Talks)

Injury curtailed Schlupp’s progress last season but his versatility is sure to be a huge plus for Tony Pulis’ West Brom. Talks are ongoing but the switch is nearing completion after the Baggies submitted a join club-record fee for the winger.

Luisao, Benfica to Wolves, €2m (In Talks)

Arguably the most bizarre transfer story of this window. The Benfica legend is out of contract next season and Wolves have opened talks over a two-year deal worth £100,000 per week. The defender has won 17 trophies during 13 seasons in Portugal.

Matteo Darmian, Manchester United to Napoli, €13m (New Target)

After just one season in the Premier League, the right-back is set to return to the Serie A with Jose Mourinho preferring Antonio Valencia. Napoli are favourites to land the 26-year-old to replace the aging Christian Maggio.
