  • The heat is boiling up in the Transfer Window battle to get the team balances right. The third week of January is about to end and teams from all of Europe are speculating on their chances to sign players they need.

Here, Sport360 brings you the latest news on some of Tuesday’s biggest transfers.

DIMITRI PAYET (West Ham to Marseille)

    INTEREST

The Dimitri Payet-West Ham saga, it looks like, is going to continue for some time more. According to reports, West Ham are willing to keep the controversial Payet until the end of the season if necessary.

West Ham simply don not want to sell Payet on the cheap cheap and are doubting Marseille’s ability to meet their price of £30m for Payet.

    ANTONIO VALENCIA (Manchester United)
    CONTRACT EXTENSION

Antonio Valencia will stay at Manchester United for one more year, after the club activated a clause in his contract.

After the contract extension that will see him remain at Old Trafford until 2018, after a tring of impressive performances from Valencia under Jose Mourinho.

    ADAMA TRAORE (Middlesbrough to Chelsea)
    INTEREST

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is perhaps impressed with the pace and dribbling abilities that Middlebrough’s Adama Traore possesses, the table-toppers believed to have approached Boro as to Traore’s availability.

Traore though still has three-and-a-half years left on his contract and has done fairly well with 14 appearances for Boro this season.

GERARD DEULOFEU (Everton to AC Milan)
    INTEREST (LOAN)

AC Milan have approached Everton to enquire about the possibility of taking winger Gerard Deulofeu on loan for the rest of the season.

Deulofeu hasn’t been a first-choice for Ronald Koeman and has made just 13 appearances so far in the Premier League season, meaning he may be available to go out of the club temporarily.

MARTIN OLSSON (Norwich City to Swansea)
    DONE DEAL

Swansea have successfully signed Martin Olsson on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Norwich City, Olsson’s signing strengthening Swansea’s leaky defense.

It was a much-needed signing, more so after losing Neil Taylor to injury for a minimum of three weeks with a broken cheekbone.
