    HERRERA

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera will stay with the club – according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 27-year-old midfielder will reportedly reject the chance to link up with his former Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona and stay at Old Trafford.

    RATING: 4/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Herrera has just enjoyed his best season at United yet and has become a central figure under Jose Mourinho. His tenacity and passion has endeared him to fans while he was also named Player of the Year.

The Spaniard lifted two major trophies at the club this season and will want to stick around for the next chapter of the Mourinho era. While a move back to Spain may be appealing, a place in Barcelona’s starting XI is hardly a guarantee.

    DANNY ROSE

Danny Rose could be a new team-mate for Herrera, with the Daily Mirror reporting that United lead the race for the Tottenham and England full-back, who looks set to leave Spurs after 10 years at the club.

    RATING: 6/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Mourinho has certainly had his doubts over Luke Shaw this season and Matteo Darmian at left-back has always seemed like more of a stop-gap than a long-term option.

Tottenham have an able replacement for Rose in Ben Davies but apart from a hike in wages, it’s hard to see why the full-back would want to move to Old Trafford from a professional standpoint. Spurs are already title contenders, United still have work to do.

    NOLITO

According to Marca, Nolito has said he would like to return to La Liga, after less than a year at Manchester City.

    RATING: 8/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Despite being brought in by Pep Guardiola himself, Nolito has quickly learned that his playing time at the Etihad will be limited at best, like it has been this season.

With more signings expected to be made this summer, the Spaniard could find himself drop further down the pecking order.

    WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON

EDERSON: Sky Sports News understand the Benfica goalkeeper will have talks with Manchester City on Tuesday.

IVAN PERISIC: Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed to Premium Sport that Manchester United are interested in Perisic – but have yet to make an offer for the Croatia international.

M’BAYE NIANG: The 22-year-old has decided not to join Watford permanently after the end of his loan spell from Serie A side AC Milan, according to L’Equipe.
