    KYLIAN MBAPPE

Arsenal are set to launch a world record £125 million bid to sign Monaco star Kylian Mbappe ahead of Real Madrid, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly using all his French connections to persuade the 18-year-old to choose North London over the Bernabeu.

Mbappe was in sensational form for the French Rivera side last season, scoring 26 goals and creating eight assists in 46 games.

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Although a move to the Premier League or La Liga will happen at some point over the next 12 months, it would suit Mbappe better to stay at Monaco for another season to further his development.

Thomas Lemar and Alexandre Lacazette have been heavily linked with the Gunners, so it would be more realistic for Wenger to sign his two targets instead of Mbappe.

    MATEO KOVACIC

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic, according to Diario Madridista.

The 23-year-old was restricted to appearances from the bench last season, with manager Zinedine Zidane opting for Casemiro ahead of him.

The Croatian international is under contract until 2021, but given his options are limited at the Bernabeu, he has been tipped with a move away from the club this summer.

Kovacic started just 19 games last campaign, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Jose Mourinho is believed to be a keen admirer of Kovacic and will switch his attentions to signing the player after securing deals with Alvaro Morata and Nemanja Matic.

A move for Kovacic looks to have some belief with the 23-year-old considered more of a back-up player at the Bernabeu.

The Red Devils face stiff competition from Paris Saint Germain who are also interested in acquiring his services.

Could Kovacic be on his way to Manchester this summer?

    HECTOR BELLERIN

Hector Bellerin’s agent has begun negotiations for the Arsenal star to re-join Barcelona this summer, according to Marca.

Despite signing a new six-and-a-half-year contract at the Emirates Stadium last November, it’s been a mixed campaign for the Spaniard who has been criticised for a series of poor performances for the Gunners.

The Spanish giants tried Aleix Vidal and Sergio Roberto at right back last season, but have ultimately found it tricky to fill the position since Dani Alves’ departure in 2016.

Ernesto Valverde has set his sights on signing a right back this summer, and with Bellerin showing fine form during the European U21 Championships, it could be the perfect time to land his signature.

    RATING: 8/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Barcelona is home for Bellerin and the Spanish international has made it clear in the past he wants to play for his boyhood club at some stage.

A move this summer, on paper at least, seems to work out for all three parties so watch this space.
