Romelu Lukaku has completed his medical ahead of his transfer from Everton to Manchester United and has spoken highly about Jose Mourinho.

United announced on Saturday they had reached an agreement with Everton to sign the 24-year-old in a deal understood to be worth an initial £75million.

Lukaku played under Mourinho at Chelsea but opted to move to the blue half of Merseyside after the Portuguese wasn’t able to promise him the playing time he wanted.

With the duo now reunited at Old Trafford, the Belgian believes Mourinho will guide the team to great success.

“I think he has his own playing style,” the striker said in an interview with ESPN, responding to suggestions that the team hasn’t played ‘the United way’ under Mourinho.

“The manager makes the team play better. So, last year the team won three trophies. They had it a bit difficult in the league.

“But this year, he’ll prepare us to make sure we’re up there and it’s down to us to follow his plan, to follow his path and do whatever he wants to bring major trophies to the club.”
