  • With the transfer window now officially open from July 1, the frenetic nature of speculation is only going to increase.

Rumours are starting to gather pace and we take a look at the latest stories doing the rounds in the media.

Will any of the following deals happen?

    NABY KEITA

Italian super agent Giovanni Branchini has handed Anfield supporters some hope by revealing Keita does have a release clause, The Express reports.

It will reportedly come into effect next summer and Branchini is confident the Guinea international will favour a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Naby Keita this summer following his impressive displays for RB Leipzig last term.

    SPORT360 VERDICT

There’s no doubt over Liverpool’s interest in Keita and given that they haven’t actively pursued other midfield targets, they seem determined to land their man.

If a release clause is indeed set to be triggered next summer, they could persuade RB Leipzig to lower their asking price in this window. Klopp definitely seems keen on the midfielder.

    NEMANJA MATIC

Manchester United have been working towards a deal for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic but it appears Inter Milan are ready to move ahead of ahead of them, according to reports in Italy.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho but Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims the Serie A outfit will be the ones to land the Serbian’s signature.

    RATING: 4/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Last week, Matic to United looked ever so likely but a week in the transfer window is a long, long time. Since then, the Red Devils have snapped up Romelu Lukaku, from under Chelsea’s nose no less.

It’s unlikely that the Blues will want to them any favours and would much rather sell Matic abroad. But if the player forces through the move, it is possible.

    TIEMOUE BAKAYOKO

Chelsea’s £40million deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko appears to be moving along despite claims of interest from United.

Sky Sports claim Bakayoko will undergo a medical this week and could potentially join Chelsea’s squad in China and Singapore next Monday.

    RATING: 7/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Antonio Conte for some reason or the other thinks Bakayoko would be a marked improvement over Matic and the move seems to be gathering pace.

Expect the Frenchman to sign within the next.
